Checkmate Self Defense

I am please to announce that starting on Friday 8/6/2010 Checkmate Martial arts will be hosting a Free “Insanity” style workout every Friday night from 6 – 7:30.  Darren Hook from Beach body fitness will be teaching this intense exercise program.   This FREE class is open to members and Non-members of Checkmate.   Please join me in welcoming him to the Checkmate family!!

I would like to take a moment to thank and congratulate Maria on receiving the 2009 Ohana Award.  Ohana is  a Hawaiian word meaning family.  It emphasizes that family are bound together and members must cooperate and remember one another. This is an award that this is handed out every year to a non-black belt at each Jujitsu America School.  The Award is given in recognition for recipients dedication and support with regard to the Dojo and all it members.  Please join me in congratulating Maria!
